Academy Profile
The Good Shepherd Academy is celebrating over twelve years of service, and continues to grow through God's grace and provision. The academy began as a vision by two sisters to provide excellent Christian academic support to home schooling families throughout the Kansas City area. The academy is incorporated as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit educational ministry, and operates through tuition and private support. Since the doors opened in September of 1995 (with only 60 students), thousands of children and their families have received services and classes. The current weekly enrollment is over 150. An exciting addition to the academy's ministry was the introduction of The Academy Bookstore in 2000, a full service home school curriculum and teacher resource store. |
